Learning Development professionals often manage multiple projects at the same time, and this requires project management skills. Here, I was assigned to create a project management plan for four simultaneous training projects.
Project A: New Hire Program
Deliverable: Prepare to deliver new-hire training
Deadline: 4 weeks
Project B: Upskilling
Deliverable: Prepare to deliver an upskilling session on soft skills
Deadline: 2 weeks
Project C: Software Training
Deliverable: Create a quick reference guide for new software.
Deadline: 3 weeks
Project D: New Hire Curriculum Refresh
Deliverable: Partner with the Instructional Design team to revamp the new hire curriculum
Deadline: 5 weeks
My Process:
I divided each training project Into milestones.
I Identified the highest-priority project, set due dates, and assigned responsibilities for each milestone.
Then, I assigned due dates and responsibilities for the other projects, starting with the project with the most urgent deadline.
